THE 2013-Hyksos Seafood Restaurant finished off the 2011-Chioson Development in Game 2, 59-50, to complete a finals series sweep and claim the championship in Division C of the 23rd SHAABAA basketball tournament last Wednesday at the Ateneo de Cebu basketball court along Mango Avenue.
After a thrilling Game 1 win, the Game 2 win was more methodical for Batch 2013 as it imposed its will in the third canto, outscoring 2011, 16-6, to take a 43-31 lead to the fourth, where it held its ground and grabbed the win and the coveted title.
Game 1 hero Arc Gabrielle Araw-Araw was the man of the hour once again for Batch 2013 as he piled up 19 points, six rebounds and five assists to lead his team to the crown.
Wingman Alphonsus Doyon also filled up the stat sheet with 13 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, two steals and a blocked shot.
Franz Pacheco led 2011 with 16 points while Bernard Chioson had 14 points and 10 boards.
