Youth for Christ, the youth arm of Couples for Christ (CFC) Family Ministries, is a community of believers united in the vision of living and bringing the identities of Jesus Christ to other people especially among the youth. The eagerness and vibrancy of its members partnered with the conviction of the spirit paved way to various events, both local and international, which were participated in by people from all walks of life, members of the community or not.
These events are aimed toward gateway evangelization: to proclaim God’s love to the world beyond boundaries. One of these events is the Liveloud Concert.
On November 17, 2018, Saturday, it will be a full circle celebration for families in worshipping God as Liveloud will finally take its footprints to Cebu, the first home of Christianity in the Philippines.
This year, Liveloud will be anchored on the theme “home,” denoted by the Greek letters Chi (X) and Rho (P), forming the abbreviation of the name of Jesus Christ.
The Catholic worship concert was first staged in 2009. Since then, the concert has been staged annually with each year being able to gather significantly increasing number of attendees to the concerts. On its 10th year, Liveloud shows off its gratefulness to the Lord by jump-starting a concert tour. After its annual concert at SM Mall of Asia last June 2, 2018, Liveloud went to gather more souls hungry for worship overseas: in Austria and United Kingdom. Its final international leg will be in Singapore this November.
In the local setting, Liveloud graced Iloilo City in September and Butuan in October.
Liveloud Cebu is expected to gather more than 4,000 attendees in a night of prayers and praises at the IEC Convention Center of Cebu. Gates will open at 3 o’clock in the afternoon commenced with a Holy Mass.
Aside from the worship concert, Liveloud Cebu will also hold a song writing workshop top-billed by Cebuano music royalty, Mr. Jude Gitamondoc and Singles for Christ Fulltime Pastoral Worker, Mr. Jay Laquian. The workshop will start at 9:00 AM on the concert day at IEC Convention Center of Cebu, Acacia Hall. Registration is at P100 inclusive of certificate and light snacks. Liveloud began as a campaign to gather original songs written by members of the community. Believing that music is one of the most effective tools in bringing the community’s vision into fruition, it became an avenue for young musicians to write and create songs and share it to the whole of CFC community.
