Two minors rescued in Calamba drug bust; P188K drugs seized
Two minors, who claimed they were used as drug couriers by a suspected drug peddler, were rescued during Wednesday’s police drug operation in Sitio Mahayahay 2, Barangay Calamba in Cebu City.
Suspected drug peddler, Dominick Larrobis, 32, of Sitio Mahayahay was also arrested during the buy-bust operation, said Chief Insp. Hendrix Bancoleta, San Nicolas Police chief, during a phone interview on Wednesday.
Members of the Drug Enforcement Unit of the San Nicolas Police Precinct, who led the operation, confiscated a sachet and three medium packs of suspected shabu with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P188,000 from the suspect.
The two minors, whose ages are 13 and 14, would be turned over to the Department and Social Welfare and Development.
The suspect was detained at the San Nicolas Police Precinct detention cell pending the filing of charges.
