A drug peddler was caught by the police in a drug bust in Sitio Imus Lower, Barangay Day-as, Cebu City shortly after 7 p.m. today.

Chief Inspector Chuck Barandog, the head of the CDEU-CCPO who led the operation, identified the suspect as Marlon Dacua, 35, a resident of the area and a hospital attendant at the Don Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center, a government-run regional hospital located in Cebu City.

Dacua was caught with six medium-sized and several small packs of suspected shabu (crystal meth) valued at around P350,000, he said.

A tip from the residents led to a surveillance operation that allowed the police to catch Dacua transacting a drug sale with a policeman posing as buyer, Barandog said.
