Samantha Lo all set for Best Model of the World

BINIBINING Cebu Tourism 2017 and Best Model of the World Philippines 2018 Samantha Lo is all set to show her
modeling prowess to the entire world.

She confirmed to Cebu Daily News that she will fly to Istanbul today, December 1 to compete in the Best Model of the World.

For Lo, the competition is important to her since this is her first international stint.

“I not only want to make the Philippines proud but also I’m doing this for myself. It’s another level of growth that I want to achieve in an area I’m very passionate about,” she said via Facebook message.

The competition will run from December 2 to December 8. Aside from Lo, Aaron Davis will represent the country for the male category.

Lo said that every time she thinks that she is representing the country, she gets the feeling of peace.

“The feeling comes largely from the people who I work with because their only intentions for me are to build, support, and protect me and when you have a team like that there are no negative feelings that come to mind,” she sid.

The Cebu-based beauty queen had less than a month to prepare for the international competition.

Lo had to diet, exercise, get enough sleep, and do self-care.

“Momma J (Jonas Gaffud) has prepared Aaron and me by training us on our walks and the different runways we will be doing, for the swimsuit, national costume, and evening gown competition,” she shared.

Four days ago, Lo shared on her Instagram story her one-on-one training with Gaffud.

“We had the opportunity to shoot with the GLAM team and I got feedback on projection and facial expressions so it kind of contradicts what people think about modeling that it’s about being skinny and looking good, no. In fact, it’s quite the
opposite; there is a lot of mechanics and technique that go into it and if one factor doesn’t cooperate then it could throw
everything off,” she added.
