Power outage affects San Remegio town

CEBU CITY, Philippines – Power interruption was experienced in San Remigio town in northern Cebu at around 10 p.m. today (December 28).

A post on the municipal government’s Facebook page said that Cebeco II personnel were still trying to trace the cause of the power outage.

Cebeco linemen already checked on their sub-station but failed to determine what was wrong.

The town’s FB post said that Cebeco linemen are now trying to check on possible damages on their power lines.

Northern Cebu, where San Remegio is located, remains under tropical storm signal number 1.

The town’s disaster personnel are now on alert in anticipation of the ill effects that may result from Tropical Depression Usman that is expected to make landfall on the northern tip of Cebu province Saturday dawn.
