Eight nabbed in drug den raid in Barangay Luz

Cebu City, Philippines —  A drug den in Barangay Luz, Cebu City was raided by operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas on Monday evening, March 25, 2019.

The PDEA-7 arrested eight persons and seized  illegal drugs worth around P102,000 in the drug den that was inside a house along Cabantan Street in Sitio Mabuhay.

Among those arrested was Remedios Lazarte, 53, who is said to be the owner of the house.

Also arrested were Lazarte’s son Carlito Lazarte Jr., 22; Leleth Luna, 29; Clint Octaviano, 48; Archie Fajardo, 28; Carmelita Fajardo, 28; Antionio Adlawan lll, 27, and one minor. They were inside the drug den when the raiding team arrived.

PDEA-7’s Public Information Officer Leia Albiar  said the operation stemmed from a tip through a text message. /bmjo
