DILG files raps vs town execs for low-functioning anti-drug councils

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) filed complaints against the mayors of 50 towns before the Office of the Ombudsman, due to low-functionality or non-compliance of their anti-drug abuse councils (ADAC).

The mayors — nine of which are also included in President Rodrigo Duterte’s narcolist — and a provincial governor will face administrative charges due to neglect of duty as local executives, according to Assistant Secretary Ricojudge Echiverri on Wednesday.

Here is the list of municipalities whose ADACs were deemed either as non-compliant or low-functioning.

19. Lagangilang, Abra

20. San Isidro, Northern Samar

21. Las Navas, Northen Samar

22. City of Borongan, Eastern Samar

23. Malabang, Lanao del Sur

24.Kapai, Lanao del Sur
