Cebu City, Philippines — Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma on Friday, April 12, 2019, urged authorities to resolve the killing of Christine Lee Silawan as soon as possible.

Palma, however, understands that solving the crime is a big challenge to authorities, especially that the Philippine National Police (PNP) and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-7 have presented different suspects over the case.

The Archbishop said that the victim and her family also deserve to have justice.

Palma was speaking about the case during a press conference for the National Youth Day 2019, which will be held from April 23 to 28 in Cebu City.

The 16-year-old Silawan was murdered last month, with her body found on a vacant lot in  barangay Bankal, Lapu-Lapu City on March 11, 2019.  /bmjo
