Pregnant woman from Bato, Ermita jailed for possession of shabu

CEBU CITY, Philippines- A woman, who is nine months pregnant, was arrested in a buy-bust operation near her residence in Sitio Bato, Barangay Ermita, Cebu City at dawn today, April 21.

Marfflyn “Chikoy” Batoto, 18, is now detained at the Carbon Police Station for possession of two packs of suspected shabu weighting 100 grams and worth at least P680,000.

Police also recovered cash believed to be proceeds from her illegal drugs business from the suspect.

Police Major Randy Caballes, head of the Carbon Police Station, said that Batoto took over the illegal drugs business of her partner, who was arrested earlier and is now detained at the Cebu City Jail./dcb
