LPA affects Cebu, CV

The low pressure area (LPA) spotted 550 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur as of 4 p.m. Wednesday may affect the weather condition here in Cebu and the rest of Central Visayas and Mindanao

Cebu and other parts of Central Visayas will experience cloudy skies and scattered rain today until Sunday, said Engr. Oscar Tabada, chief of Pag-asa Central Visayas.

Tabada said LPA will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas and Mindanao.

Cebu will experience windy with light to moderate rain from Friday night until Sunday

Residents in the flood prone and landslide prone areas are advised to take all the necessary precautionary measures.

Strong to gale force winds associated with the surge of Northeasterly surface wind flow is expected to affect the Eastern seaboards of Visayas and Mindanao. Therefore, small sea crafts and fishing vessels are advised not to venture out into the sea due to big waves.
