SENIOR Supt. Conrad Capa refused to comment on the public dressing down he got from President Aquino in Tuesday’s “Araw ng Parangal sa Kapulisan” in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
“The President has spoken. I will not give comment,” Capa told reporters.
Capa, deputy regional director for operations of the Central Visayas police, was the former head of Task Force Tugis, the team that arrested fugitive property developer Delfin Lee.
Capa was not among the three police officers who were awarded for their roles in Lee’s arrest.
Capa said that he will just do his job at PRO-7.
A few days after Lee’s arrest, Capa was sacked as the task force head and was reassigned to Cebu.
Capa turned to the media to express his dismay over his reassignment.
In his speech, Aquino said what Capa did was a “disservice” and he put the organization in a bad light.
“Mag-trabaho nalang tayo. I love to work in Cebu,” Capa said.
Capa is tasked to supervise the preparation of big events in Central Visayas, especially the APEC meeting next year.
