THE CITY Government of Maasin, Southern Leyte, through the Maasin City Sports Council, and the Maasin City Black Eagle Taekwondo Club will be hosting the 3rd Eastern Visayas Regional Taekwondo Poomsae Championships on May 10 in Maasin City, Southern Leyte.
The confirmed teams in the event, which is also the 1st SMOKE-FREE Taekwondo Poomsae Tournament in the Philippines, are the Maasin City Black Eagles, Bato Tigers, Baybay City Taekwondo Team, Baybay City Taekwondo Academy of Ormoc City, Ormoc City Abuyog Taekwondo Academy, Leyte Jedi Knights, Tacloban Warriors, Tacloban City Morningside Taekwondo, Burauen, Leyte Jedi Junior Taekwondo Team, Tacloban City Leyte Normal University Bullheads, Tacloban City Albuera Barbarian Gladiators, Kananga Taekwondo Club and the Biliran Taekwondo Team.
The events to be featured are the Individual Girls, Individual Boys and the Mixed Pair. /Correspondent Jade Violeta
