All-new Mazda3 arrives in Cebu
THE THIRD generation Mazda3 was introduced to the Cebuano market early this month at the Mazda Cebu showroom along Juan Luna Avenue Extension, Cebu City.
The all-new version of Mazda’s best-selling compact sedan now wears the company’s patented Kodo design and also features the Skyactiv technology.
Two variants will be available with the top-of-the-line carrying a 2.0-liter (155 hp) engine and the base model using a fuel-efficient 1.5-liter (112 hp) powerplant. Both variants will also have hatchback counterparts.
Among the highlights of the new model include i-Stop and i-ELOOP technology, bi-xenon headlights and a techy yet classy interior on the 2.0-liter model.
The release of the new Mazda3 is expected to heat up the competition in the compact car segment. Its competition in the local market include the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla Atlis, Mitsubishi Lancer EX, Subaru Impreza and Ford Focus.
