Serafica handed out face shields to the security guards, maintenance personnel, and janitors of City Lights Gardens, a condominium in Nivel Hills, Lahug, Cebu City, where he resides.

Serafica also distributed a total of 2,020 pieces of face shields to the security frontliners at Philippine National Police – Police Regional Office 7 in Camp Sergio Osmeña and Armed Forces of the Philippines Central Command Headquarters at Camp Lapu-lapu.

According to Serafica, his initiative to give out face shields to the security personnel of Cebu City and to the employees in his residence started out of concern to these frontliners and the residents in his community.

“So I noticed that no one was giving to the other frontliners such as the AFP, PNP, and the security guards, janitors, maintenance personnel here in City Lights Condominium where I live. Of course, I am not only concerned for myself. I’m also concerned for the over 400 residents here”, Serafica said.
Joseph Lacao-lacao, one of the security guards of City Light Gardens extends his gratitude to Serafica in providing protective equipment to the staff of the condominium.
“Nagpasalamat ra pud mi nga gitaan mi og ing-ani (face shields) niya nga at least dili mi pud maapektaran sa corona virus (We are grateful to him that he gave us face shields. At least we won’t be able to get corona virus)”, said Lacao-lacao.
Serafica encourages everyone who can help to take part in alleviating the current status of their own community.
“I started giving out donations for my concern to my community and as well as the place that I live, my immediate community and I suggest to others perhaps they can also do the same in their villages, condos as well as the outside public, to donate, maybe face shields, masks, food, it can be anything that could help”, Serafica said.

Serafica also handed out 50 sets of PPE’s, 100 pieces of KN-95 face masks, and 300 face shields to Chong Hua Hospital through Dr. Clive Fermin.
The face shields were sourced from Shields4foods while other PPE’s that Serafica distributed are sourced from OLA household essentials trading.
