16 Mandaue City brgys get brand new garbage trucks

MANDAUE CITY, Cebu — Sixteen barangays in Mandaue City received brand new garbage trucks from City Hall on Friday, September 25.

Mayor Jonas Cortes led the turnover of the trucks to the officials of the recipient barangays on Friday afternoon at the Mandaue City Plaza.

These barangays were already the second batch of recipients of new garbage trucks coming from the city government.  These are Barangays Cabancalan, Cubacub, Jagobiao, Opao, Subangdaku, Tawason, Tingub, Umapad, Canduman, Banilad, Basak, Guizo, Ibabao, Maguikay, Mantuyong, and Pagsabungan.

“Niaging pila ka buwan ang unang batch sa 9 ka trucks una nang na turn-over sa mga barangay ug anaa pay 2 ka trucks nga i turnover para sa 3rd batch,” said an advisory from the city’s Public Information Office.

(Nine barangays received brand new trucks during the first batch of the distribution made a few months ago and there remains to more trucks that belongs to the third batch that are yet to be distributed.)

Mandaue City, a first-class highly urbanized city, has a total of 27 barangays.
