The operator of the Ceres Bus line of buses petitioned the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) not to suspend their fleet of buses after one of their units figured in an accident that injured 37 passengers last June 22.

Representatives of Vallacar Transit, the Ceres bus operator, submitted the results of the drug tests of their drivers, all of whom tested negative for drug use. They said they extended financial assistance to all victims.

One Ceres Bus unit fell on its side while traversing a slippery road in Dawis Norte, Carmen town. LTFRB hearing officer Edwin Antupuesto said there is no preventive suspension issued on Vallacar Transit’s franchise. The operator has two bus units which expires next year. The agency will issue a resolution on the case next week.
