Last June, Islands Souvenirs finally launched their first of many stores in Cagayan de Oro along the East Concourse of Limketkai Center with another one set to open this month at the 2F of Centrio Mall.
At the opening event, Islands Souvenirs also unveiled their fresh, new I Heart CDO campaign which introduced their I Heart CDO Brand Ambassadors.
First launched in Cebu in 2010, the “I Heart” line of t-shirts was originally planned as a Valentine’s Day activation focusing on a less typical love – love of place. It was a huge and remarkable success and featured various prominent true-blue Cebuanos as brand ambassadors.
The campaign gave these local personalities an opportunity to express their own sense of pride and love for Cebu. Eventually, Islands Souvenirs saw potential in replicating the line to other key cities such as Davao, Bohol, Manila, Boracay, Vigan, Camsur, Baguio and Palawan.
