CEBU CITY, Philippines— In a matter of five months, the famous bamboo forest in barangay Luy-a, Medellin has turned into more than just a forest.

It has become a place for family, friends and loved ones to hang out and enjoy nature.

From being just a place for photoshoots, it has become a place for eating and hanging out with the cottages, benches, and some food stalls.

Jack Ponpon, took some photos of the bamboo forest last August and now shares a whole new set of photos of the transformation done by the owners of the bamboo plantation.

The bamboo forest opens at 6 a.m. daily and closes at 9 p.m.

There is now a P20 entrance fee to enable the management to maintain the place as it welcomes visitors.

Visitors can dine, chill and take photos all they want but they should not forget to clean as they go.

This is just one of the many things Cebu is proud of and to keep it clean and healthy for a long time definitely needs the cooperation of everyone.

Be a responsible visitor of the bamboo forest in Medellin, Cebu. Because it is a source of pride and joy. /rcg
