Earthquake rocks Davao del Sur

DAVAO CITY – A 4.8 magnitude earthquake jolted Davao del Sur area at 7:28 a.m. Sunday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

The tectonic earthquake’s epicenter was traced 9 kilometers west of Magsaysay, Davao del Sur and had a depth of focus of 16 kilometers.

It was felt at Instrumental Intensity IV in Kidapawan City, Cotabato;  Instrumental Intensity II in Alabel, Sarangani and Instrumental Intensity I in Kiamba, Sarangani and General Santos City. / gsg
