Private hospital offers parking lot for Mandaue’s vaccination drive

MANDAUE CITY, Philippines — The Chong Hua Hospital Mandaue branch has pledged to offer its lower ground parking area for the Mandaue City government’s coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) mass vaccination.
AC Karl Tañedo, Infection Control Manager, said it was the hospital’s commitment to help the city in the fight against COVID-19 which included the vaccination program.
Tañedo said the lower ground could accommodate about 400 to 500 persons to be vaccinated per hour depending on the number of vaccination teams.
Mayor Jonas Cortes said he was grateful to the management of the hospital and that it would be a big help for the city because 2,000 patients could be vaccinated per day using the area.
“Dako kaayo natong pasalamat sa gi offer sa management sa Chong Hua. Kani nindot nga area kay well ventilated unya duol siya sa mga dagkong barangay. Sa makadaghan akong giingon the key to our succes is the active participation of the different sectors within Mandaue,” said Cortes.

The mayor said probably barangays Subangdaku, Mantuyong, and Guizo would occupy the area.

Meanwhile, Subangdaku Barangay Captain Ernie Manatad, chairman of the city’s COVID-19 vaccine board, said they would continue to prepare for the city’s vaccination program.
“Ubay-ubay nami og na adtuan nga mga private establisments seeking to get the data sa ilang mga in-house clinics, (ug) also mga operators sa atong mga medical clinic, dental. Mao na sila kay mao man to silay apil sa frontliners. Ato gyud nang gipaadto per establishments sa atong movers sa ground para ma encode sila sa atong system,” said Manatad.

(We have visited a lot of private establishments seeking to get the data of their in-house clinics (and) also the operators of our medical clinic, dental. Those are the people that we visited because they included as frontliners. We visited each establishment of our movers on the ground so that their names will be encoded in our system.)
Also, tomorrow, March 12, the vaccination, immunization and coordination team of the city’s COVID-19 vaccine board will inspect all the vaccination sites to assess the placements of the security personnel, the step-by-step process, among others.
