THE ASPA Formworks completed a sweep of their elimination round assignments as it came from behind to trounce the Tercera Bombers, 51-46, in the Indie Basketball Cebu tournament last Sunday at the Pope John XXIII Seminary gym in Mabolo.
ASPA, a crew composed of veteran players, trailed by double-digits but eventually turned its game up a notch to grab its fifth win in as many games and the top spot in Bracket 6.
In other games, the Apurados also rallied to beat the YLR Realtors, 66-49.
Sylvester Millevo led the way with 12 points as the winners forged a tie for the lead in the standings in Bracket 4 with the two-time champions Autolab. Autolab nabbed the top-seed via the winner-over-the-other rule.
Rajah Cal also emerged victorious after beating Team Blank, 50-39, behind the 11 markers of Lawrence Saballa. Akoni Heinar also defeated Team Prospects, 69-62.
Several teams added wins to their records without breaking a sweat last Sunday. Registering wins via default were the Warhawks, Red Poker, Team SG/ARQ Builders and Zylun.
