LAPU-LAPU CITY, Philippines — Senator Risa Hontiveros has formally launched in the Visayas on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, the Healthy Pinas Mobile Clinic.

The mobile clinic’s first stop was at Barangay Pajo covered court, wherein they offered free laboratory procedures such as x-ray, ECG, ultrasound, among others.

The mobile clinic will stay in Cebu for seven weeks, where it is expected to serve up to 300 individuals per day.

Hontiveros added that they are also coordinating with LGUs for the deployment of mobile clinics, to ensure that the health and safety protocols and restrictions were properly observed.

Lapu-Lapu City mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan for his part, thanked the senator for choosing Lapu-Lapu City as the first stop of their mobile clinic.

He said that this is going to be a big help to Oponganons, especially at this time of the pandemic when the public is advised to stay at home.

By deploying the mobile clinic, Chan said this will bring closer to the public the different health services of the government.   /rcg
