A four-month-old fetus was found floating inside a jar in the waters of sitio Salvador, barangay Tangke, Talisay at 10 am today.
Police said the fetus may have been floating for days by the sea after a witness called the Talisay City police precinct about the jar. The fetus is now buried at Cansojong cemetery.
In Talisay City, a 23-year old student City attempted to commit suicide yesterday afternoon by slitting his throat using a bladed instrument.
The student tried to kill himself after he was repeatedly scolded for asking money for his studies.
Police said the victim was scolded again by his mother for throwing pillows at his younger brother. He sustained a wound on his throat but was immediately brought to the nearest hospital.
