Mandaue park treats indigent kids
An amusement theme park in Bridges Town, Plaridel Street in Mandaue City that opened last Saturday will offer free entrance to the city’s 100 indigent and orphaned children every month.
An agreement was signed between the management of Happy Mong Kids Park and the City Social Welfare and Development Office for this purpose to mark last Saturday’s opening.
The park is owned by Cebu Happy World Inc., which also operates the Miracle Art Museum in Cordova town, said Happy Mong Kids Park vice president Mario Florante-Cabahug.
“The Korean investors are seeing potential markets in Cebu due to the influx of Korean tourists as well as domestic tourists,” Cabahug told reporters.
The Happy Mong Kids Park has 11 stations consisting of water slides, bumper cars and boat rides among others. The park also hosts children’s parties.

Regular rate runs from P100 for 1 hour, P250 for 2 hours for a group, P350 for 2 hours per child and P600 unlimited per child. Adults are charged rates from P50 to P250.
They are open from 10 am until 10 pm from Monday to Sunday including holidays.
