The USC Board of Trustees recently announced that Dr. Magdaleno Albarracin has been elected Board Chair for Academic Year 2014-2015 vice Dr. Ernesto Pernia whose term as Board Chair and Corporation member expired last May 2014. Dr. Albarracin has been a member of the Board and Corporation of the University of San Carlos since 2010.
Re-elected as Board Vice Chair is Fr. Eduardo Rocha, SVD, Provincial Superior of the Philippine SVD Southern Province. Fr. Isagani Ehido, SVD, and Dr. Carmelita Quebengco were also re-elected for a second 3-year term as Board Members.
Meanwhile, Chief Justice Hilario Davide, Jr. (ret.), who was former Ambassador to the United Nations – New York, has also been elected to the 10-member Board of Trustees and the USC Corporation for Academic Years 2014-2017.
The USC Board of Trustees is composed of six SVD members and four non-SVD members. Fr. Dionisio Miranda, SVD, is the incumbent President of the University of San Carlos.
