Cabbie robbed by passengers

A 51-YEAR-OLD taxi driver reported to the police that he was robbed at knife-point by two men who posed as passengers in barangay Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu City.

Florencio Bueno, a resident of barangay Cogon-Pardo, Cebu City and driver of Tiger Taxi with plate number GXB-487, said he lost P3,100 cash in the robbery.

Bueno said the two men flagged him down around 3 a.m. yesterday but a few minutes later, the passengers poked a knife at him declared a hold-up.

The victim said he was asked to disembark before the robbers drove off with the taxi.

About two hours after the robbery, the taxi was found abandoned in barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu.
