LOOKING back years ago, who would’ve imagined that out of a dull concrete infrastructure like a warehouse, a vivacious and well-loved shopping mall known to many today would sprout? From its humble beginnings and fast forward to what it is today, the people behind the success of this mall look back with pride and gratitude in their hearts as they celebrate another milestone achieved.
The month of October marks Parkmall’s sixth year of loving and passionate service to Cebuano families as a mall that aims to provide a leisurely shopping experience for all. Over the years, Parkmall has stayed true to its commitment to bring families, friends and even pets together to the only mall wrapped in the comforting ambiance of a park, thus its name implies.
Parkmall is also one of Cebu’s homegrown brand. It has bloomed successfully together with development of the Mandaue Reclamation Area, where it is located, as an area where commercial establishments abound and flourished.
“Parkmall was intended to bring back the simplicity of families spending quality time together… It’s about the nostalgia of childhood, playing silly games in the park, casual picnic outdoors, weekend family get-togethers over meals,” This is how General Manager of Parkmall Neal Carlson Co describes Parkmall’s cause as a business.
During its anniversary program last October 4, Parkmall also launched its new positioning statement, “Life is a Walk” which aims to capture the essence of Cebu way of living. The new theme was translated into a new TV commercial directed by the award-winning filmmaker Lyle Sacris.
In light of the grand celebration, Parkmall organized a full roster of events for the whole month of October. These activities tell about relaxation, thanksgiving, self-indulgence and festivities.
