A 63-YEAR-OLD American national was found dead in his house in barangay Nailon, Bogo City, northern Cebu.

Police said there were no signs of foul play in the death of Christopher Adrian Onwig.

The man had been suffering from hypertension and diabetes, police said.

Police said Onwig’s wife Mercedita was at work when the American was found lifeless on his bed last Wednesday morning.

PO3 Ryan Alarde, investigator of the Bogo City Police Station, said Mercedita’s sister and her husband went to the couple’s house to deliver newspaper when they discovered the body.

In barangay Malingin also in Bogo City, a 49-year-old farmer drowned in a river last Wednesday night.
Police said it was possible that Vicente Betache Mabaga fell into the river while walking home last Tuesday night.

Police said the farmer came from a drinking session before heading home.

The body was found floating in the river early Wednesday morning.
