Two siblings died when a sidecar they rode on rammed into a passenger bus in sitio Cristorey, barangay Guadalupe in Carcar City, southern Cebu early morning today.
The sidecar driven by Harry Saramosing,38 and boarded by his older sister Peterlina Saramosing Anunciado,40 was headed south of Carcar City when it lost balance while negotiating a blind curve.
The vehicle crossed the other lane and hit the approaching Librando bus. SPO1 Jose Repompo, desk officer of the Carcar City police precinct said the 36-year-old bus driver identified as Rogelio Alipin, a resident of barangay Librando, Badian town said he tried to slow down but was unable to stop from hitting the siblings.
Saramosing used the sidecar for the family poultry business. The two were rushed to the Carcar City District Hospital but died before reaching it.
Alipin is now detained at the Carcar police precinct pending the filing of charges of reckless imprudence resulting to double homicide. The bus is also in the
custody of the police. It sustained damages on the front portion.
