Ruffa Sorongan showed her perfect condition, bagging two crowns over the weekend capped off by a 10-kilometer victory in the Run For Zonta Says No yesterday at the Ayala Center Cebu.
Aside from her victory yesterday, Sorongan also dominated last Saturday’s 10K run of the Run For Juan (see separate story) at the South Road Properties.
It was actually the third win for Sorongan this month after she won in the Royal Run of Hotel Elizabeth.
Sorongan finished yesterday’s 10k race in 42 minutes and 58 seconds to win the women’s crown.
Kenyan Isaac Simat topped the men’s race with a time of 33:52. Other winners were John Daryl Manos (5K male), Lovely Fe Andrin (5K female), John Cliff Debolusan (3K male) and Sara Lee Cuizon (3K female).
Around a thousand running buffs joined Cebu One Zonta Club Foundation Inc.’s campaign for anti-violence against women and children.
