Tisa fire razes 2 houses

A morning fire razed a two-storey house and a two-door apartment and damaged another house in sitio San Isidro, barangay Tisa, Cebu City.
Arson investigators pegged the property dam at P80,000.
SF02 Alberto Jagdon of the Labangon Fire Station said they were looking into reports that the fire, which started in Gerry Econas’ two-storey house, was caused by his two grandchildren who were playing with matches at the second floor.
The two-door apartment was leased by Baby Largo and Egan Pacquiao while the damaged house is owned by Benito Caburnay.
The fire also destroyed a motorcycle owned by Econas.
Jagdon said they received the fire alarm at 9:40 a.m. and the fire was controlled 16 minutes later. Firefighters declared the fire out at 11:14 a.m.
Rosemarie Econas, 22, the daughter of Gerry, was slightly wounded by broken glass from their window during the fire.
