Big time drug pusher nabbed with P8.8 million shabu in Cebu City
CEBU CITY, Philippines – A 21-year-old alleged big-time drug pusher was caught with around P8,840,000 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Sitio Campar, Barangay Poblacion Pardo, Cebu City early Friday morning, September 8, 2023.
The operation transpired at around 12:03 a.m. on Friday.
Police, in the report, identified the alleged suspect as 21-year-old Manuel Ace Delgado Causing alias “Teban.”
Causing is jobless and a resident of Upper Galilee, Barangay Duljo, Fatima, Cebu City.
Causing is tagged as a High Profile Drug Personality, according to Police Lieutenant Colonel Gerard Ace Pelare, the spokesperson of the director of the Police Regional Office Central Visayas (PRO-7) Police Brigadier General Anthony Aberin.
The operation that led to his arrest was conducted by personnel of the Police Regional Drug Enforcement Unit of the Police Regional Office-7 led by Police Captain Jomar Bonifacio.

Operatives seized from the alleged drug pusher 12 heat-sealed transparent plastic packs and one vacuum-sealed plastic pack all containing suspected shabu.
The confiscated illegal drugs weighed around 1,300 grams and had a Standard Drug Price (SDP) total of P8,840,000.
The authorities also confiscated two Chinese tea packs and one pink bag allegedly used as containers of the illegal drugs in Causing’s possession.
They also recovered one genuine P500 bill and another fake P500 bill made to appear as P50,000 used as buy-bust money during the operation.
Pelare said that they are considering Causing’s arrest as a big accomplishment because it will help reduce the supply of illegal drugs in Cebu City.
The police report showed that the apprehension of drug pushers such as Causing is expected to reduce 30% of the illegal drug activities in Barangay Poblacion, Pardo.
As of this writing, a case buildup is being undertaken against the alleged suspect, and the police will be conducting follow-up anti-illegal drugs operations if their evidence warrants it.
Causing is now in the custody of the RPDEU7 pending the filing of appropriate charges against him.
He will be facing charges for possession and selling of illegal drugs. /rcg
