Cebu weather: Generally fair with isolated rainfall during night in the next 5 days
CEBU CITY, Philippines – Metro Cebu and the rest of Cebu Province can expect generally fair weather with partly cloudy to mostly cloudy during daytime from October 12 to October 16.
However, isolated rainfall due to localized thunderstorms is expected in late afternoon and evening.
Engineer Al Quiblat, chief of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) in Mactan, explained that ‘isolated’ means 20 percent of Cebu will experience rain due to thunderstorm occurrences.
Quiblat mentioned that the thunderstorm occurrences in the late afternoon and evening can bring moderate to heavy rains, which could lead to flooding and landslides.
Quiblat urged the public to monitor weather advisories to stay updated on the weather in Cebu.
Meanwhile, the temperature in the next five days will range from 25 to 32 celsius, while the average heat index is expected between 39 to 40 degrees celsius.
The sea conditions will be light to moderate, with light to moderate winds ranging from 20 to 30 kilometers per hour.
