Dancesport Team Cebu City hauls medals in separate tournaments

CEBU CITY, Philippines—The vaunted Dancesport Team Cebu City (DTCC) hauled four gold medals in different local and international competitions over the weekend.

Two gold medals were brought home by Shardie and Marjorie Abellana, and Anselmo Estillore Jr. and Mary Joy Dumosmog from the 3rd Cordillera Dance Festival in Benguet Province.  

Meanwhile, the pair of Francis Diluvio and Richlyn Bendanillo took part in the Queens Cup International Dance Championships 2023 in Jakarta, Indonesia and bagged three medals, comprised of two silvers, and one bronze.

Shardie and Marjorie Abellana, a real-life dancesport couple topped the Grade B Latin category, while Dumosmog and Estillore ruled the amateur Latin category in the 3rd Cordillera Dance Festival.

Meanwhile, Diluvio and Bendanillo earned their two silver medals in the Rising Star 4 Dance category and the Pro Amateur-A. 

They earned their bronze medal in the pro amateur B. 

Recently, DTCC ruled the Philippine DanceSport Federation (PDSF) 3rd Quarterly Rankings and Competition last September 30, 2023, at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

DTCC’s power couple Wilbert Aunzo and Perl Cañeda led the medal haul, which yielded them four gold medals and one silver.
