THE Cebu Ports Authority (CPA) called on shipping lines to remind their passengers to board early in order to decongest the port area.

Chief Insp. Felix Quianzon, officer-in-charge of port security said there’s a high turnout of passengers since Monday morning.

As of 10 a.m yesterday, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) registered 39,786 inbound passengers and 32,813 outbound passengers.

Until now, terminal 1 and the temporary sheds along pier 4 are operational. Most of the trips were fully booked since two weeks ago, Quianzon said.
