Cop killer resists arrest, shot dead by police in Talisay City

One of the suspects, who was hunted by authorities for allegedly murdering a policeman last november, was killed in a shootout with policemen in Barangay Tapul, Talisay city early this morning, December 13.

the suspect was identified as 25-year-old jenecy rafols, a resident of sitio colo, barangay inayawan, cebu city.rafols was accused as one of the men involved in the killing of police corporal ryan languido baculi during a buy-bust operation gone wrong last november 15.

during the shootout in talisay, one of the policemen was wounded in the shoulder.rafols died when policemen returned fire.

Piston Cebu to hold another two-day transport strike on Dec 14-15

The samahan ng tsuper at opereytor nationwide cebu, a group of drivers and operators here, will hold a two-day transport strike on december 14 and 15.

The University of the Visayas Green Lancers Head Coach Gary Cortes says they can bounce back from their loss against UC Webmasters in Game 1 of the Cesafi men’s basketball finals.

The Green Lancers, the defending champions, who were unbeaten in the season prior to game, fell short against the Webmasters 66-63, on Tuesday at the Cebu Coliseum. Cortes said it was just a temporary setback.

Game 2 of the Cesafi men’s basketball finals between the two teams is set on Thursday, December 14.

Andre Braugher, star of ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’, dead at 61

Two-time Emmy winning actor, Andre Braugher, star of the TV comedy, “Brooklyn Nine Nine,” died on Monday after a brief illness, his publicist said. He was 61. Braugher starred alongside Andy samberg in the police satire “brooklyn nine nine” for eight seasons from 2013 to 2021 where he played the role of captain ray holt.
