Batang Pinoy, PNG: Cebu City Niños to field strong combat sports athletes
CEBU CITY, Philippines — The Cebu City Niños’ will field a strong line-up of combat sports athletes for the upcoming Batang Pinoy National Championships and the Philippine National Games in Manila on December 15.
A total of 25 boxers headed by Cebu City Sports Commission (CCSC) grassroots boxing coach Ryan Illustrisimo will compete in the week-long twin multisports meet organized by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).

The Wushu team of head coach Osias “Liuk” Rama Cartagena Jr. will have 20 of his finest athletes to compete for Cebu City.
Cebu City’s boxing team for PNG are Kirby Hoybia, Jance Jezreeel Quilaton, Khyl Sumalinog, Bienjemar Codoy, Robert Jon Seares, Althea Juezan, Pathricia Mae Sumalinog, Allexah Juezan, Eduardo Jimenez, Jonwel Montefolka, Jefre Jimenez, Ariel Garth Llamas, and Adrian Rosal.
On the other hand, Cebu City’s Batang Pinoy pugs are Cyd Jhamel Aras, Zyrus Clark Dela Cerna, John Luiz Marcos Eronico, Sandro John Ypil, Jerson Inon, John Michael Berame, Ken Villanueva, James Blanco, Rainn Paul Llamedo, Brendo James Moralde, Nathalie Nicole Sanchez, Allysah Juezan.

Meanwhile, Cebu City’s Wushu squad will have John Harry Jakosalem, Jefferson Faelnar, Marc Yestin Archival, Kiersten Kian Nazareno, Ghudrem Dave Allanic, Nino Gabriel Cabrera, Quin-Ian Quinlob, Jem Jyad Ababon, Abcdef Angelo Roca, Elshan Dela Cerna, Daniel Angelo Colegado, Jimwell Amad, Drake Van Allen Nunez, and John Michael Yap for Batang Pinoy.
Its PNG wushu team will be comprised of Reyjohn Dalmacio, Wendell Amad, Mark Otida, Chad Vincent Gomez, Simlord Tana, and Gerald Tubog.
Cebu City will send a total of 780 athletes, coaches, and officials for the Batang Pinoy National Championships and PNG.
Some of the events of the wushu competition will kick off tomorrow, December 15, ahead of the opening ceremonies on December 17.
