CEBU’S two representatives to the Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup, the reigning Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc.  champions Southwestern University (SWU) Cobras and the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Jaguars, are in for a heck of a summer as they face off against some of the best collegiate squads in the country in succession when the prestigious preseason tournament starts on April 25 at the Arena in San Juan.

The Jaguars have been bracketed in Group A while the Cobras have been placed in Group B.

First to see action will be the USJ-R squad of veteran head coach Jun Noel, which kicks off its campaign with a match against the Letran Knights on April 27. That will be followed by a game against the Jose Rizal University Heavy Bombers on April 29; the Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals on May 1; the Perpetual Help Altas on May 2; the St. Benilde Blazers on May 5; the defending UAAP champions National University on May 8 before wrapping up their stint in Manila with a match versus UAAP runners-up Far Eastern University on May 9.

SWU makes its debut on May 22 against the Mapua Cardinals before tangling with UAAP powerhouse La Salle the day after. On May 27, the Cobras will be facing off against the University of the Philippines and then the University of the East on the 29th. They continue their campaign on the 30th with a game versus NCAA ruler San Beda and follow that up with a match versus the University of Santo Tomas on June 3. They wrap up their stint with matches against Lyceum and Centro Escolar University on June 5 and 6, respectively.
