ALL ROADS lead to Papa Kits beach resort on May 9 and 10 for the first-ever Summer Wake Jam 2015 national wakeboarding and wakeskating competition in Liloan, north Cebu.

Cebu Wake Park’s Helmut Estremos, also of the Cebu Boardriding Community, said it’s all systems go for the inaugural wakeskating and wakeboarding national competition in Cebu.

Top wakeboard riders from all over the country are expected to converge for the two-day event, which will also launch the wakeboarding competition in the south.

The local front will be manned by top rider Skrappy Yuson and Denmark’s Lasse Renedsen, a regular patron at Papa Kits.

“We are targeting wakeskating and wakeboarding enthusiasts from all over the country to compete in the event,” said Estremos.

Meanwhile, Estremos said Poro, Camotes Mayor Luciano (Boy) Donasco Rama Jr. welcomed the planned creation of a wakeskate and wakeboarding facility in the island.

The move to create a wakeskate and wakeboarding facility in the island was conceptualized during the recent Cebu Boardriding Community’s 2015 Cebu Wake Park Camotes Tour.

Rama said he is throwing his support behind the sport since this will provide the youth with legitimate entertainment especially during summer.

“We cosponsored the event since one of the organizers, Helmut Estremos is from here,” said Rama.
