ALL MAYOR’S CUP sporting events in Mandaue City will be put on hold to give way to other activities held in line with the upcoming fiesta in honor of St. Joseph on May 8.
Sports Committee co-chairman Stephen Jumao-as told Cebu Daily News that the committee decided to halt all sporting events since the venue will be used for other activities.
“We stopped the event on April 25 to let the organizers prepare,” Jumao-as said. He said all sporting events will resume on May 12.
Most games are played at the Mandaue City Cultural and Sports Complex, which will also be the venue for other activities such as the Miss Mandaue pageant. /CTU intern Marc Eric Cosep
