Miracle baby is doing well at the hospital.

Miracle baby is doing well at the hospital.

The condition of the new born baby who was tossed out of a house  window in Maria Luisa Estate Subdivision  continues to improve at the Cebu City Medical Center.

The mother is breastfeeding her.

The newborn girl no longer has a dextrose line  and  has  good sucking reflex.

The baby shows no sign of her traumatic first hours of life “because she  does not understand what happened to her. A one-week -old baby can’t even exhibit a ‘social smile’ until she is  2 months old,” a source in the Department of Health  told Cebu Daily News.

The mother is also in stable condition. Her bleeding has stopped.

The mother, who  initially kept the pregnancy a secret, rejected the baby because she has another family in Bohol province.

Social workers are extending psychosocial intervention for the mother, who will be transferred with her baby to a child-care center.
