THE DEPARTMENT of Education (DepEd)-Regional Office 7 released recently Memorandum No.26 dubbed “2015 Philippine Youth Games (PYG)-Batang Pinoy” for the information and guidance of all the Schools Division/City Superintendents and Heads of Public Elementary and Secondary Schools around the region.
The memorandum stated that the “Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), in partnership with the DepEd, will hold its 2015 Philippine Youth Games (PYG)-Batang Pinoy” cluster eliminations at the following dates and venues; Luzon Qualifying Leg on July 20-27 in Bulacan, Mindanao Qualifying Leg on Sept. 21-28 in Koronadal City, Visayas Qualifying Leg on Oct. 25-31 in Antique and the National Finals on Nov. 29-Dec. 2 in Cebu City.
According to Cebu City Sports Commission chairman Edward Hayco, the pool of the Cebu City athletes who will compete in the Batang Pinoy-PYG will be coming from the recent summer grassroots program.
