10-year-old cebuano part of ph team for milo int’l karatedo

HAYASHI-HA Shitoryukai Karatedo Team’ Rafael Vidal will be the lone Cebuano in the Philippines team that will compete in the Milo International Karatedo Championships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Vidal, a 10-year-old multi-titled karateka, will join five other karatekas from the Philippine Karatedo League (PKL) in the two-day competition against teams from other countries.

They are set to leave for to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this afternoon.

Vidal is the Cebuano karatedo sensation who won eight gold medals in five different tournaments outside Cebu last year. He also won a gold medal in the 3rd Adidas BMP International Karatedo Championships in SM Mall of Asia Arena last year.

Insular Square’s Michael Lim and Compostela town mayor Joel Quino is supporting Vida’s campaign in Kuala Lumpur.
