Organizers of the Color Manila Run are excited to bring back the one-of-a-kind running event to Cebu this Sunday.

This marks the third time that the festive event will be held in Cebu and organizers are once again confident that it will be well attended.

“Cebu has the biggest number of participants in the provincial leg of Color Manila Run,” said Jay Em, the founder of the running event in the country. “We are excited to be back. This coming Sunday, expect more fun and more vibrant colors during the run.”

Around 2,000 runners have already enlisted, ready to run and get smothered with edible colored powder along the way. There’ll also be a party after the race  dubbed the Color Festival.

“Cebu is blessed to have a very perfect race course and it’s very safe for each participant,” added Em, who was joined in a press conference yesterday by  fellow organizer Justine Cordero of Proactive Promotions and race director Joel Juarez of Coco Running. The press launch was held at  Captain A’s Grill.

Juarez said this year,  the 5k distance will be replaced by a 6k distance. There’ll also be 10k and 3k divisions.

Cordero, meanwhile,  said this event is part of the series of activities held in line with the “Visit Philippines 2015” program of the Department of Tourism.

Because of this, foreign delegates will be present on race day to observe the event.

Registration fee is pegged at P750 for all distances. Registration is ongoing until tomorrow at Toby’s Sports at the SM City Cebu and at the RUNNER in Ayala Center Cebu.
