CBM competes in Panaad swimfest in Bacolod

TEAM CEBU City- Cebu Blue Marlin (CBM) Swimming Club will be participating in the 1st Panaad Invitational Novice and Advance Age-Group Swimming Meet which starts today at the Panaad Park and Sports Complex, in Mansilingan, Bacolod City.

The team, known for being a producer of medals in national and international swimming competitions, is fielding in 40 swimmers in different age groups of this invitational tournament.

CBM coach Rolando Alvarez told Cebu Daily News the team has been preparing for this event and the Aquathlon National Invitational Age Group Meet to be held in the same venue for a month already.

“I’ve been preparing for these two big tournaments for one month, most especially the aquathlon because it’ll be our first time  to join,” Alvarez said.

The CBM team will be headed by Michael Ichiro Kong, the champion in the recent 8th Olango Challenge 6k male competitive category. Other noted swimmers for CBM are Mike Gabrielle dela Serna, Ma. Michaela Recilla, Jobert and Karen Indaya, Justine Reign Garrido, Isabella Marie Diehl and Razel Cabajar.
