THE Department of Social Welfare and Development in Central Visayas is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Lingmel Peñas, the parent who abandoned Hazel Peñas and her brother Joshua.

Hazel and Joshua were 2 years and 8 months old and 5 years and 11 months old, respectively when referred by the Cebu City Department of Social Welfare and Services to the Parian Drop-in Center on Aug. 8, 2013.

The parents and relatives of the two Peñas siblings may visit the DSWD office on MJ Cuenco Avenue and Gen. Maxilom St. or call 2321192 local 124.

Failure of the parties to appear or call within three months may compel the DSWD 7 to subject the children to legal abandonment proceedings at the DSWD Central Office in Manila.
