Tropical Storm Enteng: 10 confirmed dead – NDRRMC

MANILA, Philippines — The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) confirmed on Tuesday that 10 people had died in the wake of Tropical Storm Enteng (international name: Yagi).
Seven fatalities were in Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon), two in Central Visayas, and one in Western Visayas.
Pagasa: Storm Enteng may intensify when it crosses WPS
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported on Tuesday morning that Tropical Storm Enteng (international name: Yagi) may further intensify once it crosses the West Philippine Sea.
Meanwhile, over several parts of Luzon, Tropical cyclone Wind Signals (TCWS) are up.
Signal No. 2 is up over the following areas:
- Ilocos Norte
- Northern part of Ilocos Sur (Sinait, Cabugao, San Juan, Magsingal, Santo Domingo, San Ildefonso, San Vicente, Santa Catalina, City of Vigan, Bantay, Santa, Caoayan)
- Apayao
- Abra
- Kalinga
- Western portion of Mainland Cagayan (Piat, Santo Niño, Camalaniugan, Tuao, Pamplona, Alcala, Amulung, Buguey, Solana, Rizal, Claveria, Iguig, Lasam, Aparri, Ballesteros, Abulug, Allacapan, Sanchez-Mira, Santa Praxedes) including Babuyan Islands (Calayan Is., Dalupri Is., Fuga Is.)
Pagasa: Tropical Storm Enteng moves over Kalinga as it slows down
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that Tropical Storm Enteng had decreased its strength and was moving over Kalinga on Monday evening.
The center of Enteng was located at Rizal, Kalinga with its speed decreasing to 15 kilometers per hour (km/h), moving north northwestward. It was packing maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h near the center, and gustiness of up to 140 km/h.
This was according to Pagasa in its 11 p.m.weather bulletin on Monday, September 2.
8-month-old baby drowns in Naga City flood caused by Enteng
LEGAZPI CITY — An 8-month-old baby drowned in a flood caused by rains brought by Tropical Storm Enteng since Sunday night in Naga City in Camarines Sur province on Monday, Sept.2.
Naga City police said the parents found their daughter unconscious and floating in the flooded bedroom of their house in Barangay Calauag at 6 p.m.
‘Enteng’ expected to make landfall in Cagayan, Isabela on Monday
Tropical Storm Enteng could make landfall in Cagayan and Isabela on Monday, according to state meteorologists.
As of 8:00 a.m., the storm was located 100 kilometers north-northwest of Daet, Camarines Norte, moving west-northwest at 15 kilometers per hour (kph).
It is packing maximum sustained winds of 75 kph and gustiness of up to 90 kph, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
‘Enteng’ hits C. Visayas: 2 dead, 10 injured amid heavy rains
Tropical Storm Enteng hit Central Visayas, where two people were reported dead, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
The NDRRMC also received reports that 10 people were injured as heavy rains affected many parts of the country due to the storm.

LPA becomes tropical depression ‘Enteng’ on first day of September
The low-pressure area east of Eastern Visayas has developed into a Tropical Depression as of 8 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1. This was according to the Tropical Cyclone Update of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) around 9 a.m.
It will be called “Enteng” and the fifth tropical cyclone to hit the country this year.
Classes suspended due to Enteng, Camarines Norte on red alert
Classes at all levels of public and private schools on Monday, September 2, in Camarines Norte are suspended due to tropical storm Enteng.
Camarines Norte Governor Ricarte Padilla suspended classes in the province on Sunday, September 1, when the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) hoisted tropical cyclone wind signal no. 1 over Bicol Region.
