A34-year-old man and his nephew were shot dead by a motorcycle-riding assailant in Talisay City, southern Cebu.

Police are still looking into the motive behind the killing of Ronald Caparida and his nephew Juniel Rabago.

Police said the two victims arrived on a motorcycle at the Seaoil Gas Station in barangay Lina in Talisay City at past 10 a.m. yesterday.

They had gassed up when the assailant, also on a motorcycle, arrived and fired at them, said SPO1 Yvonne Ilustrisimo of Talisay City Police Station.

The assailant fled on his motorcycle towards Cebu City.

A girl was wounded in the hip after she was hit by a stray bullet.

The gas station’s security guard, who asked not to be named, said he thought of shooting the assailant with his shotgun but held back for fear that he will hit other people in the area.

The attack was captured by the gas station’s security camera. Police will review the footage for the possible identification of the assailant.
