THE Cebu City Council called on the Office of the Building Official (OBO) to support preparations for the 51st International Eucharistic Congress (IEC) to be hosted by Cebu City on January 24-31 next year.

OBO was requested in a resolution to inspect the venues constructed for the IEC which is expected to draw 15,000 delegates from around the world.

The council designated Architect Danilo Lim as the  OBO’s point man in charge  of reviewing permit applications for the  IEC. One of the venues is the Eucharistic Village or IEC Pavilion being built on a one-hectare lot at the Seminaryo Mayor de San Carlos in Mabolo, Cebu City.
